Three Events Ahead for Jared Miley Racing During Independence Day Weekend
‘H1’ Represents Western PA Well During Firecracker 100 Weekend
By Fully Injected Motorsports:
Pittsburgh, PA (July 1st, 2015) – Former Lernerville Speedway super late model track champion, Jared Miley, represented his ‘home track’ well during the annual ‘Firecracker 100’ at Lernerville Speedway; earning back to back top-ten finishes, including a podium performance, against the World of Outlaws Late Model Series at the Sarver, Pennsylvania oval. Miley, pilot of the familiar Jared Miley Racing, Colussy Chevrolet, Octane Graphix, Brougher’s Machine Shop, Hoosier Tire Mid-Atlantic, Schaeffer’s Racing Oil, ‘H1’ super late model, entered both ‘Firecracker 100’ preliminary programs during the recent weekend. The Pittsburgh native finished third during feature competition on Thursday evening, June 25th after starting on the inside of the second row. Miley was originally scheduled to start on the pole for the 30-lap, WoO LM Series preliminary main event, but was docked a row for ‘jumping’ the initial start.
The ‘H1’ team would return the following evening on Friday, June 26th and finish seventh during preliminary action; rallying forward from an eleventh starting position. Despite the 100-lap, $30,000-to-win ‘Firecracker 100’ finale being postponed from June 27th until September 5th due to weather conflicts, ‘The Jet’ still looks ahead with enthusiasm and hopes to make a run for the five-digit top prize.
“We had a great weekend” said Jared Miley, “We are pretty happy with how both preliminary programs went. We were really good on Thursday night; running second behind (Shane) Clanton for most of the 30-lap feature but lost him in traffic. Rick Eckert eventually got by us late but we still managed to finish third. Friday night was the same way. We had a good car and climbed from 11th to 7th. We are excited for the finale. We have to wait a few extra months but hopefully it will be worth it. If we can get the car where it needs to be, we should be fine. We want to be up front and be a contender for the $30,000.”
Jared Miley Racing will spend three days on the road during the upcoming holiday weekend; making visits to three different venues in two different states between July 2nd and July 4th. Miley will kick off the weekend early with a visit to the Hilltop Speedway near Millersburg, Ohio on Thursday evening, July 2nd; entering the $5,000-to-win ‘King of the Hill.’ It will be Miley’s first visit to the Millersburg oval in 2015.
Jared Miley will continue his holiday weekend on Friday night, July 3rd and join the Lucas Oil Late Model Dirt Series at the Muskingum County Speedway near Zanesville, Ohio. Miley will join the national touring group, led by current point leader, Jonathan Davenport, and battle for a $10,000 top prize on Friday night. Like Hilltop Speedway, this will be Miley’s first visit to the Zanesville venue in 2015.
The ‘H1’ team will conclude their holiday weekend swing through neighboring states on Saturday, July 4th in ‘Wild and Wonderful’ West Virginia. Miley will travel south from Zanesville, Ohio to the I-77 Raceway Park near Ripley, West Virginia on Saturday evening; set to enter the ‘Freedom 40’ super late model program worth $3,000 to the main event winner.
“We’ve had a few long road trips planned in recent weekends, but it looks like this one will actually work out” said Miley, “The weather has been an issue all season. We are excited to hit the road for a little bit. We have some momentum on our side and a ton of confidence. The guys work really hard and dedicate a lot of time to this race team. We don’t have a ton of experience at these tracks we’re visiting, but we won’t let that intimidate us. We’ll work as hard as we can this weekend to get up front. Should be a lot of fun.”
