YORK, Pa. (May 13, 2019) – Despite a busy weekend complete with three main events in two days, Cory Haas and Trone Outdoor Motorsports took full advantage of the opportunity and scored three consecutive top-ten finishes; a perfect momentum swing just before the World of Outlaws invade Central Pennsylvania for the first time on Wednesday.

Haas, driver of John Trone’s Trone Outdoor Motorsports/Trone Outdoor Advertising/Wicked Cushion/Old Republic Distillery/Creekside Auto Sales/No. 39 sprint car, kicked off his three-feature weekend with an eighth place performance during the Outlaws tune-up at Williams Grove Speedway on Friday, May 10.

Action continued on Saturday in the Pigeon Hills where Haas entered a pair of main events at the ‘Fabulous’ Lincoln Speedway; the previously scheduled Outlaw tune-up, followed by a make-up feature that was postponed from Saturday, May 4. The former Lincoln Speedway Kevin Gobrecht Memorial champion finished seventh and fifth, respectively, highlighting his performances with an impressive charge from 13th during the World of Outlaws tune-up.

“That was a lot of fun. A boost of momentum, as well as confidence, is exactly what this team needed heading into a competitive week with the World of Outlaws,” Cory Haas said, a two-time feature winner in 2018. “I can’t thank my team enough for their hard work over the last few months. Despite all of the bad weather we’ve had, they never sat still; they kept working for ways to find speed and it is clearly paying off.”

Cory Haas and Trone Outdoor Motorsports will join the World of Outlaws Sprint Car Series for three events in four days, first joining the national travelers on Wednesday, May 15, at Lincoln Speedway. The extended weekend will continue on Friday and Saturday, May 17 & 18, with a pair of starts at the famed-Williams Grove Speedway. Including the Morgan Cup bonus, Haas will chase a total winner’s share equalling $25,000 at Williams Grove; $8,000 on Friday and $12,000 on Saturday, plus a $5,000 Morgan Cup bonus.
