Three Top-Tens in Four Starts for Brock Zearfoss, Preps for Tuscarora 50

By Fully Injected Motorsports:

JONESTOWN, PA (September 6, 2016) – Four consecutive Labor Day weekend starts resulted in three top-ten performances for the “Jonestown Jet” Brock Zearfoss, two of which during competition at the Port Royal Speedway in Port Royal, Pennsylvania. Zearfoss visited two facilities twice during the four-race stretch, igniting officially with a fifth place finish during the Gary Beam Tribute at Williams Grove Speedway on Friday night, September 2.

Zearfoss, pilot of the Brock Zearfoss Racing, Moose’s LZ Bar & Grill, Meckley’s Limestone, Central Builders Supply Co., Leach’s Automotive, Masters Mechanical Insulation, Comprehensive Test and Balance, Berkebile Oil Company, No. 3z, finished fifth and sixth during his visits to the Port Royal Speedway “Speed Palace” over Labor Day weekend; fifth during the Labor Day Classic on Monday, September 5, and sixth during the official fair week opener on Saturday, September 3. The Jonestown, Pennsylvania, native is now within five points of second position in the Port Royal Speedway track championship, hunting for a career high finish in any 410 sprint car title chase.

“We had an awesome weekend. Very proud of my team,” Zearfoss explained. “To end the long weekend with three top-ten finishes at two tracks is really special. We are way overdue for this level of consistency, especially at Williams Grove and Port Royal where we’ve worked so hard to get good. We’ve been in a championship battle all season at Port Royal, so the top-fives were essential. We are still a little far from catching Doug Esh for the championship, but if we can work our way to second, that would be just as rewarding. We’re all excited for this weekend. We’ll work to keep this going.”

The month of September will continue for Brock Zearfoss Racing this Friday and Saturday, September 9-10, with Tuscarora 50 weekend back at Port Royal Speedway. The Juniata County Fairgrounds half-mile will welcome Pennsylvania’s finest, as well as the Arctic Cat All Star Circuit of Champions, for back-to-back programs during Tuscarora 50 weekend, awarding $5,000 on Friday and a minimum of $12,000 on Saturday.

“This is the one we’ve been waiting for all summer,” Zearfoss explained. “We have an opportunity to score the biggest payday of our career this weekend. We have our new Maxim chassis working to its maximum potential right now. I think if we can take advantage of qualifying and get ourselves in good position early, we can contend for a win. We certainly have what it takes. I have a great team and a long list of dedicated supporters who help us push toward our goals. I’m anxious to see what we can do.”
