BROWNSBURG, Ind. (February 10, 2025) – Donny Schatz and Tony Stewart/Curb-Agajanian Racing put it all together in the 2025 World of Outlaws Sprint Car Series season debut at Volusia Speedway Park in Barberville, Florida, not only notching four consecutive A-Main starts with all four attempts resulting in forward progress, but recording three top-tens in the process, the last being a charge from 12th to seventh in the $12,000-to-win weekend finale.
Schatz, ace of the Carquest, Advance Auto Parts, Ford Performance, Curb Records, Martin One Source, No. 15 sprint car, finished eighth, seventh, 17th, and seventh in the World of Outlaws DIRTcar Nationals four-pack, advancing a total of 32 A-Main positions including an impressive 13-spot rally on Wednesday, February 5. In fact, Schatz’ rally, due in part to an early night mechanical failure which ultimately forced the ten-time World of Outlaws Sprint Car Series champion to the Last Chance Showdown, earned the Fargo, North Dakota, native the evening’s Hard Charger Award.
Although DIRTcar Nationals competition is complete, Donny Schatz, TSR and the Greatest Show On Dirt are far from through with Volusia Speedway Park, set to return to the “World’s Fastest Half-Mile” for Bike Week competition on March 2-3. From there, the World of Outlaws will head west to Alabama and Mississippi for visits to Talladega Short Track and Magnolia Motor Speedway.
