York, PA (May 12th, 2014) – Cory Haas will battle the World of Outlaws STP Sprint Car Series on three (3) separate occasions during the upcoming weekend; beginning Wednesday evening, May 14th at the Lincoln Speedway in Abbottstown, Pennsylvania. ‘The Greatest Show on Dirt’ will have one day to recover before returning to competition on Friday and Saturday, May 16th & 17th at the Williams Grove Speedway in Mechanicsburg, Pennsylvania. Cory Haas, a former ‘Jack Gunn Memorial’ winner at Williams Grove and a former ‘PA Speedweek’ winner at Lincoln, will be in action during the entire WoO STP ‘spring swing’ through Central Pennsylvania this weekend; hunting his first win of 2014 and a first-career World of Outlaws STP Sprint Car Series win.
Haas, who pilots the Michael Barshinger Builder, Embee & Son, Inc, York P-B Truss, Inc., Thornton Chevrolet, Tailgaters Grill & Drafthouse, no. 11C ‘410’ sprint car, hopes to repeat his 2012 performance against ‘The Greatest Show on Dirt,’ and represent the ‘Pennsylvania Posse’ proudly during the upcoming ‘Outlaw’ invasion. Cory Haas finished fourth (4th) against the ‘Outlaws’ during A-main action at the Lincoln Speedway back on May 10th, 2012. The pilot of the Mike Barshinger owned ‘11C’ charged forward from the seventeenth (17th) starting position to earn the top five performance.
The Michael Barshinger ‘11C’ team will enter the upcoming weekend fifteenth (15th) in the current SPEEDWAY MOTORS/CHAMPION RACING OIL CENTRAL PA SPRINT CARS Presented by HOSEHEADS point standings with 99 points. Cory Haas, a former eight-time Williams Grove Speedway/Lincoln Speedway ‘358’ sprint car track champion, completed the 2013 season twelfth (12th) in the final Central Pennsylvania standings. Haas had one victory last season.
