Western Pennsylvania’s best will compete for $2,250 tonight at the Lernerville Speedway in Sarver, Pennsylvania; with most of the FI gang to be represented.
Tim Shaffer, the 2010 Knoxville Nationals Champion and All-Star Circuit of Champions title winner last season, picked up the win last night at Red River CO-OP Speedway in Winnipeg, MB. The western Pennsylvania native held off Dale Blaney and hard charging, Greg Wilson -who gained 8 positions in the feature event, for the $5,000 payday. The All-Stars will be back in competition this Sunday night at the Husets Speedway in Brandon, South Dakota.
Most of team Fully Injected will be making their way to Lernerville Speedway in Sarver, Pennsylvania this evening for the DIRTcar Sprint Special worth $2,250 to the victor. The best the Western Pennsylvania has to offer will be strapped in this evening; including Rod George, Danny Holtgraver, Kevin Schaeffer, Brandon Matus, and Scott Priester.
FAST competition continues this evening at the Attica Raceway Park in Attica, Ohio. Dean Jacobs is the current point leader in the Fremont/Attica Sprint Title chase and looks to extend that lead tonight at Attica, and tomorrow at Fremont. Also, the ASCS National Tour will be racing at the Placerville Speedway in sunny Placerville, California this weekend; beginning tonight and wrapping up tomorrow. Jason Johnson, the 2010 ASCS National Tour Champion, is coming off a hot streak; sweeping last weekend’s events at the Cottage Grove Speedway in Cottage Grove, Oregon. The two day stop at Placerville will wrap up the west coast swing for the premiere 360 national series. Teams will then head back east to Knoxville, Iowa for the 360 Nationals next weekend.
