LODI, California (January 17, 2021) – Effective immediately, Atwater, California’s 19-year-old Tim Vaught is joining California-based JKL Racing for a 21-race micro sprint schedule, kicking things off with the Dixon Non-Wing Nationals at Dixon Speedway in Dixon, California, on May 29-30.

Vaught, now a teammate to “The Boss” JJ Loss, brings a long list of accolades to the JKL Racing stable including a recent Tulsa Shootout A-Main start in the Stock Non-Wing class, as well as a top-ten finish in the 2020 California Cup at Lemoore Raceway.

JJ Loss, JKL Racing’s primary wheelman and son of Jason and Britany Loss, finished 12th in the 2020 California Cup at Lemoore.

“We are thrilled to have Tim (Vaught) join our program for 2021,” said Britany Loss. “Tim is a young man with a lot of talent and we believe his abilities will help propel our team to the next level. His experience will benefit JJ, as well. It’s an all-around great opportunity for everyone involved. We are all very excited to get started.”

Vaught and JKL Racing’s 21-race agenda gloats both travel and competitiveness, not only entering most of the heavy-hitting non-wing and winged events along the West Coast, but also making time to visit areas throughout the Midwest, eventually capping their season with a return visit to Tulsa for the Tulsa Shootout in January 2022. Vaught’s campaign with JKL Racing includes events such as Sooner 600 Week through Kansas and Oklahoma, the Highbanks Hustle at Southern Illinois Raceway, the Small Town Throwdown at Sweet Springs Motorsports Complex in Sweet Springs, Missouri, and the Clay Cup Nationals at Deming Speedway in Deming, Washington.

The 2021 edition of Sooner 600 Week consists of five consecutive nights of action through Kansas and Oklahoma on June 9-13. The team will visit Caney Valley Speedway, Creek County Speedway, Red Dirt Raceway, Port City Raceway, and Creek County Speedway, respectively.

“We have a lot on our plate, but we are ready for the challenge,” Loss continued. “I’m confident JJ and Tim will turn some heads in 2021.”
