MITCHELLVILLE, Iowa (September 3, 2024) – It was a hard-fought weekend in South Dakota for TKS Motorsports and recently hired ace, Hunter Schuerenberg, battling the World of Outlaws Sprint Car Series in the three-day Huset’s Hustle and High Bank Nationals on August 30 through September 1. The Huset’s programs were intended to be contested in late June, but Mother Nature – mixed with severe flooding – ended the program short.

Despite falling shy of the end goal, highlighting their three-day affair with a 15th-place score in the $100,000-to-win weekend finale on September 1, the Mitchellville, Iowa-based team had plenty to show for, leading the first four circuits in Saturday’s effort before contact ended their night on lap 28. The team was battling for a top-five at the time of the contact and they were ultimately scored 23rd.

With their weekend at Huset’s Speedway in Brandon, South Dakota, officially complete, TKS Motorsports and “Hunter Percent” will now turn their attention east, set to battle High Limit Racing in a major trio in the Keystone State beginning Thursday, September 5.

Dubbed Tuscarora 50 Weekend, the three-day program will cap with a 50-lap, $57,000-to-win finale on Saturday, September 7 – one of the most sought after prizes in sprint car racing.

“In all, happy with our efforts at Huset’s Speedway. We’re still growing as a team, obviously, and it’s going to take some time, but Hunter is adjusting well and we’re ready to head east and try again,” Troy Renfro, owner of the TKS Motorsports, Iowa Barnstormers, Des Moines Industrial Products, Jersey Freeze Ice Cream, No. 2KS sprint car, said. “Pennsylvania is a special place, not only for racers, but for fans. We’re excited to give it a go.”

ON DECK:
TKS Motorsports and Hunter Schuerenberg will continue their 2024 campaign with Port Royal (Pa.) Speedway’s coveted Tuscarora 50, sanctioned by High Limit Racing, on Thursday through Saturday, September 5-7. Saturday’s finale will award $57,000-to-win.
