MITCHELLVILLE, Iowa (May 24, 2022) – Despite having to settle with a finishing position outside of the top-ten, ending their Knoxville Raceway campaign on Saturday, May 21, with a 20th-place score after starting 18th, Ryan Giles and TKS Motorsports did their best to bring the evening to life, helping team partner, Jersey Freeze Ice Cream of Monroe, Iowa, cap their Knoxville sponsorship night with an ice cream handout in the pit area following the program.

Open March through October, Jersey Freeze Ice Cream is located on Highway 14 South in Monroe, Iowa, specializing in soft serve ice cream, malts, shakes, sundaes, slushies, smoothies, and of course, Jersey Freezers.

“Not the results we wanted, but to end the night with our friends at Jersey Freeze is pretty special,” Troy Renfro said, owner of the TKS Motorsports/Albaugh LLC/Iowa Barnstormers/deWit Construction/No. 2KS sprint car. “We appreciate their support and we’re proud to have them within the TKS family.”

Memorial Day weekend will be packed to the brim for Giles and TKS Motorsports, as the team is prepared to enter three events in three days including a doubleheader at Huset’s Speedway in Brandon, South Dakota, on Sunday and Monday, May 29-30. The team will launch the weekend with another appearance at Knoxville Raceway on Saturday, May 28.

“I’m looking forward to visiting Huset’s,” Giles expressed. “It’s going to be another first for me, as I’ve never traveled outside of Knoxville. I know our results don’t show it yet, but we have been making small gains each week and it will be a good experience to see a new track.”

ON DECK:
Ryan Giles and TKS Motorsports will continue their 2022 campaign with another round of action at the famed Knoxville Raceway in Knoxville, Iowa, on Saturday, May 28, followed by a doubleheader at Huset’s Speedway in Brandon, South Dakota, on Sunday and Monday, May 29-30.
