Tonight’s Event at Roaring Knob Motorsports Park Postponed Due to Rain; Series Prepares for Busy Month of May
Markleysburg, PA (April 26, 2014) – Tonight’s Lucas Oil Late Model Dirt Series-sanctioned event at Roaring Knob Motorsports Complex in Markleysburg, PA has been postponed. Half-way through hot laps a steady shower began to fall soaking the track. More showers are forecasted to continue through the remainder of the evening. Roaring Knob Motorsports Complex and LOLMDS officials were left with no option, except to postpone tonight’s events. The series will look for a suitable make-up date.
“We really hate to postpone yet another event. We have seen some fantastic racing here at Roaring Knob [Motorsports Complex] and we can’t wait to come back,” stated Assistant Series Director, Rick Schwallie.
The series will now prepare for a busy month of May. The series has a Triple-Header on the schedule for next weekend to kick of the month of May. The series will make its first stop at Macon Speedway in Macon, IL on Thursday May 1st, then heads to Tri-City Speedway in Pontoon Beach IL, and rounds out the weekend at Paducah International Raceway in Paducah, KY. The event at Macon Speedway will pay $12,000-to-win for the 100 lap main event and will also feature Miller Welders Time Trials, Heat Races, and B-Mains. The events at Tri-City Speedway and Paducah International Raceway will pay $10,000 to win and will feature Miller Welders Time Trials, Heat Races, B-Mains, and 50-lap Features.
