The All-Star Circuit of Champions will be making their annual “HD Supply Spring Nationals” appearance this Friday and Saturday at Attica Raceway Park in Attica, Ohio. Travis Philo, a Fully Injected teammate and driver for Philo Motorsports, will also be in action this weekend – hoping to rebound from last Saturday’s failure to make the Attica opening night feature.
“There is going to be so much talent at Attica this weekend” explained Philo when discussing this weekend’s event, “you just never know who is going to show up … we are just really excited to be a part of this and having the opportunity to run with the best!”
The young man from near Toledo, Ohio has been a competitor at Attica Raceway Park for a number of seasons; and looks to use all of that experience this weekend when the All-Stars come to town. Philo will be up against some of the best ‘410’ teams that Ohio has to offer this weekend, along with a very talented roster of All-Star invaders including Dale Blaney, David Gravel, and Tim Shaffer. The weekend field could also include a mixture of World of Outlaws talent; including WoO team owner, Kasey Kahne. The “HD Supply Spring Nationals” will also be the first ‘Ohio Region’ event of the 2012 ASCoC schedule.
“We are really excited about this weekend’s All-Star show at Attica” said Philo, “we had some motor issues last week at the opener, but we have everything sorted out and hopefully we can put the Philo Motorsports, Control Design Solutions, 5T up front all weekend!”
After this weekend’s All-Star event on April 6th and 7th, the Philo Motorsports program will refocus towards their goal: a 2012 Attica Raceway Park track championship. Philo also discussed the possibility of following the entire F.A.S.T. schedule this season; which includes races at Attica Raceway Park and Fremont Speedway. The team also plans to make occasional western Pennsylvania visits when the time allows; including trips to Lernerville Speedway and Pittsburgh’s Pennsylvania Motor Speedway.
“I really have to thank my sponsors” quoted Philo, “Control Design Solutions, Banshee Graphics, DB3imaging.com, FullyInjected.com…without all of their help, I wouldn’t be able to get this car to the track. I especially need to thank my dad for all that he has done…without him, I wouldn’t have the possibility to win.”
