Travis Philo Ready for Attica Opener on March 22nd!
Also planning to race entire F.A.S.T. schedule and ‘Ohio Sprint Speedweek’

Bowling Green, OH (March 15th, 2013) – Travis Philo has one career ‘410’ victory at Attica Raceway Park in Attica, Ohio, and looks to add one more to his career statistics next Friday evening, March 22nd, when Attica Raceway Park opens it’s doors for the first time in 2013 for ‘Construction Equipment & Supply Night.’ Philo, who pilots the familiar Philo Motorsports, Control Design Solutions, Banshee Graphics, Kistler Racing Products, ‘5T’ sprint car, will spend a lot of time at the Attica oval during his 2013 campaign; racing not only during the track’s weekly programs (which features the ‘410’ sprint cars), but also during each and every Fremont-Attica Sprint Title (F.A.S.T.) series event, as well as competing against the invading World of Outlaws STP Sprint Car Series and UNOH All Star Circuit of Champions. Although Philo has no official schedule for the upcoming race year, the ‘5T’ team still plans to be a ‘force’ in northwestern Ohio’s F.A.S.T. schedule, and hopefully, travel the entire ‘Ohio Sprint Speedweek’ schedule.
“We don’t really have a set schedule as of now” explained Travis Philo, “We plan to race as much as we can and hopefully earn a few more wins…last summer was an up-and-down year so hopefully we can be a little more consistent in 2013…I want to thank everyone who is involved…couldn’t do it without all of their help!”
Once again, Travis Philo has intentions to be a regular Fremont-Attica Sprint Title (F.A.S.T.) series competitor during the 2013 season. The northwestern Ohio native was a regular during the 2012 F.A.S.T. schedule and finished 15th in the final series’ standings. The 2013 F.A.S.T. schedule will kick-off on Friday evening, April 19th, at Attica Raceway Park in Attica, OH; and will wrap up on Saturday, September 7th at the Fremont Speedway in Fremont, Ohio. The 2013 series schedule is comprised of 18 events over the course of six months; all of which are at either Attica Raceway Park or Fremont Speedway. “We will probably run all of the F.A.S.T. shows again this year…that is a really fun deal.” said Philo, “It’s hard to pass up going to Attica and Fremont weekly being where I’m from…they are great tracks and really close to home…we will probably venture out to other places this season, too, but if we can run close to home, we will…hopefully get a few F.A.S.T. wins!”
The infamous ‘Ohio Sprint Speedweek’ is also on Travis Philo’s 2013 ‘tentative’ schedule. This year’s ‘Ohio Sprint Speedweek’ tour is comprised of eight ‘410’ sprint car events at seven different Ohio ovals over the course of nine days; all of which are sanctioned by the UNOH All Star Circuit of Champions. The 2013 ‘Ohio Sprint Speedweek’ schedule will ignite on June 21st at Attica Raceway Park in Attica, Ohio. From there, the schedule will make stops at Eldora Speedway, Waynesfield Raceway Park, Wayne County Speedway, and Sharon Speedway on consecutive evenings, before having an off day on June 26th. The last three night’s of the tour will be hosted at Fremont Speedway on June 27th, Limaland Motorsports Park on June 28th, and then back at Fremont Speedway on June 29th for the speedweek finale. “I want to run the entire ‘Ohio Sprint Speedweek’ deal again, also” explained Philo, “It’s a really fun week and we get to race like eight or nine days in a row…it’s just a lot of fun to go to all of those different race tracks and race against tough competition…it’s going to be a fun season, for sure.”
Next Friday’s season opener at Attica Raceway Park will feature the ‘410’ sprinters, UMP late models, and the ‘305’ sprint cars.
