Trevor Baker earns top-five at Wayne County Speedway; Mansfield’s Great Lakes Dirt Nationals begins Friday

SHREVE, Ohio (August 7, 2018) – Trevor Baker’s 2018 season will hit another gear in less than a week, setting his aim for Mansfield, Ohio, where the nearby Shreve, Ohio, native will challenge some of the best sprint car racers in the region for a $20,000 top prize.
Baker, who has been on a recent hot streak with top-ten finishes during feature action at Lernerville Speedway and Wayne County Speedway on consecutive weekends, will join the best-of-the-best during the annual Great Lakes Dirt Nationals at Mansfield Motor Speedway. The two-day, FAST Series event will ignite on Friday evening, August 10, with a $3,000-to-win main event, followed by the $20,000-to-win finale on Saturday, August 11.
“We are really excited to visit Mansfield this weekend,” Trevor Baker explained, driver of the T-Rev Performance/Baker’s Mobile Home Transport/Exodus Cycle/Coblentz Trucking/H&S Concrete/Mid Ohio Diesel/Amsoil Stone Creek Lube/Triple-X Chassis/No. 45 sprint car. “We have been on a little bit of a hot streak lately. Our consistency is there and that is exciting. We almost had a win at Wayne County Speedway a few weekends back, but our fuel situation got the best of us. Hopefully we can turn some heads this weekend and compete for the big payday at Mansfield.”
Trevor Baker will enter the upcoming weekend fresh off of a fourth place finish at Wayne County Speedway on Saturday, August 4. The former main event winner at “Orrville’s Historic Oval” kicked-off the evening with a heat race victory.
“I can’t thank my team enough for their hard work and support,” Baker continued. “We are having a lot of fun right now. I owe everything to my team.”
