8/11/13

Mechanicsburg – Williams Grove Speedway will present a fan favorite, Twin 20s for 410 sprints this Friday night, August 16, at 7:30 pm.

Each of the 20-lap mains for the Lawrence Chevrolet sprints will pay $2,500 to win with time trials setting the heat and feature grids.
The Williams Grove Saturday Night Series featuring super sportsman, 358 late models and street stocks will take center stage at the track on August 17, all for the adult admission price of just $5.

For this night and all others, ages 12 and under are always admitted free at Williams Grove Speedway.

Williams Grove Speedway will give away 12 free tires to the 410 sprint teams during the August 16 Twin 20s.

Fireworks are also a part of the Twins show.

The event is part of the 2013 Diamond Series at the track.

An exhibition of race cars from the Eastern Museum of Motor Racing will also be conducted including track time for the vintage cars.

The Twins were rained out in 2012.

The most recent Twin 20 winners were Daryn Pittman and Steve Buckwalter back in 2011.

Only twice in 38 runnings of Twin 20’s at Williams Grove has one driver swept the double features.

Van May accomplished the feat in 1983 while Fred Rahmer pulled it off in 1995.

August 23 will be Kids Night for the Friday night youth at the track featuring games, prizes, activities and autograph sessions for the kids.
