Two Giant Crate Events On Tap for Joe Martin and JM2 Motorsports

Ringgold, PA (June 10th, 2013) – Joe Martin of Ringgold, Pennsylvania will have an opportunity to pocket $3,000 this Friday and Saturday, as two major crate late model touring series events highlight Martin’s upcoming weekend schedule. Martin, who pilots the Joe Martin Motorsports (JM2 Motorsports), Allegheny Crane Rental, The George Washington Hotel, Spartan Thru Tubing, Extreme Plastics Plus, Neese Trucking, RMS Incorporated, no. 55 crate late model, will participate in a Sweeney RUSH Dirt Late Model Touring Series event this Friday night, June 14th, at the NDRL’s McKean County Raceway (PA); before making a FASTRAK Sweeney Cars Northeast Touring Division appearance on Saturday evening, June 15th, at the Tyler County Speedway (WV). Both crate late model events will offer a $1,500-to-win payday, with each series offering top-notch driver competition and second-to-none racing excitement.
Joe Martin and JM2 Motorsports will kick-off their upcoming weekend ‘on the road’ with a trip to NDRL’s McKean County Raceway in East Smethport, Pennsylvania on Friday evening, June 14th. The Sweeney RUSH Dirt Late Model Touring Series will be co-headlining the ‘Down and Dirty’ weekend at NDRL’s McKean County Raceway; with the crate late models competing for a $1,500 pay day. The NDRL’s ULMS Late Models will also be on tap on Friday evening, June 14th; highlighted with a 30-lap, $5,000-to-win main event for the super late models. With only three events contested thus far in 2013, Joe Martin, who competes regularly with the Sweeney RUSH Dirt Late Model Touring Series and Sweeney RUSH Weekly Series, finds himself fourth (4th) in the current Sweeney RUSH Dirt Late Model Touring Series championship chase; on the strength of three (3) top-ten finishes and two (2) top-five appearances. The recent Sweeney RUSH Weekly Series ‘Sizzler’ winner at Pittsburgh’s Pennsylvania Motor Speedway will enter the weekend on top of the current overall RUSH weekly standings; which tallies points from all tracks who offer weekly RUSH crate late model competition.
The JM2 Motorsports team will switch gears on Saturday evening, June 15th, and will head south to the Tyler County Speedway in Middlebourne, West Virginia for a FASTRAK Sweeney Cars Northeast Touring Division event worth $1,500. The crate late model regional touring series program will highlight action at ‘The Bullring’ on Saturday evening; with crate teams from all across the tri-state area expected to be on hand. Recent FASTRAK Sweeney Cars Northeast Touring Division results for Joe Martin and JM2 Motorsports include a nineteenth (19th) place performance at the Lernerville Speedway in Sarver, Pennsylvania.
Joe Martin will enter the weekend with a full head of steam; only finishing outside of the top-ten one time thus far in 2013. The Western Pennsylvania native has scored an impressive fourteen (14) top-ten finishes in just fifteen (15) RUSH and/or FASTRAK crate late model starts this season; including eleven (11) top-five appearances. Martin has scored one (1) victory so far during his 2013 campaign; with that taking shape at the Pittsburgh’s Pennsylvania Motor Speedway near Imperial, Pennsylvania. The $1,000 victory was captured during round number two of the speedway’s RUSH Pro-Late Model ‘Sizzler’ series. Other recent results for Joe Martin and JM2 Motorsports include a runner-up finish at the Marion Center Speedway in Marion Center, Pennsylvania on Saturday, June 8th.
