Two new events during the Steel City Stampede to kick it up a notch!
FASTRAK King of the Hill brings new excitement to Thursday Night’s program!
“Kickin’ for Cowboy” Charity Kickball game will let fans interact with drivers.

Sarver, PA (October 24, 2012) Two new events have added a little bit of extra excitement to the DIRTcar Round Up Steel City Stampede that kicks off tomorrow (Thursday) night and runs through Saturday, October 27.  FASTRAK stars Josh Holtgraver and Mike Pegher Jr., with the help of an impressive array of sponsors, have organized a $1,500-to-win King of the Hill race that will be contested on Thursday evening during the rotating hot laps for all divisions.  Meanwhile, Sprint car owner Dan Holtgraver and FullyInjected.com’s Tyler Altmeyer have organized the “Kickin’ for Cowboy” Charity Kickball tournament with proceeds going to the Brian Steinman Benefit fund.

The King of the Hill for the FASTRAK Northeast Late Models will be a two-lap shootout between cars that will matchup via pill draw; sorted from lowest to highest.  The winner will move on to the end of the list, the loser will roll to the pits.  The process will repeat itself until the final two drivers will compete in a four-lap shootout; the winner will be crowned King of the Hill.  The winner’s share will be at least $1,500-to-win, but money is still coming in, so that may increase and/or money will be paid down to the final five or ten drivers.  There will also be contingency prizes awarded.

King of the Hill sponsors include, but may not be limited to: D&T Autobody, Blackshear Racing Engines, Flinner Signs & Decals, Schaeffers Oil, All American Framers, Fannies Friends Pet Cremation Services, Pegher Painting, Zero Wraps, Knobeloch Heating & Cooling, Team Blair Racing, Will Thomas Motorsports, Schwartzmiller Ground Maintenance, Weaver Auto Sales, Rocket Chassis, Beatty Welding, Paper Service Company, High Gear Speed Shop, Alternative Power Sources, Russell King Racing, Hoosier Tire Mid-Atlantic/Precise Racing Product, Jimmy Steigerwald, Triple S Auto Outlet, FASTRAK Northeast, Ingram Racing Engines, Race 1, Big Daddy’s Speed Shop, Eriez Speedway, Close Racing Supply, Spartan Tool, Weidner Heating and Air Conditioning, Chad Valone Racing, Garvin Scrap Metal and Frankland Rearends.

The winner of the FASTRAK King of the Hill will also have the opportunity to be a “Celebrity” captain for the “Kickin’ for Cowboy” Charity Kickball game.  In the spirit of the recent “Kick-It for Cancer” kickball games that have been sweeping major sprint car races at tracks like Knoxville, Eldora, Williams Grove, Skagit and Silver Dollar Speedways, the kickball game will give Steel City Stampede fans the opportunity to have fun and interact with some of their favorite drivers; and all in the name of charity!  A small donation of money, check or driver apparel/collectibles is requested for those attending or interested in playing; again all proceeds will go directly to the Brian Steinman Recovery Fund.  The first pitch will roll at 12:00.  For more information, log in to FullyInjected.com!

Again, the HUGE three-day weekend of racing starts tomorrow (Thursday) night with rotating hot laps for all divisions and the FASTRAK Late Model King of the Hill.  Pit gates, registration and tech inspection open at 3:00.  The grandstands open at 5:00 and feature FREE admission tomorrow night only.

Friday Night’s program consists of heat race for all ten divisions followed by the post-race party at the Round Up tent starting at 10:30.  Saturday’s festivities start at 12:00 Noon with the “Kickin’ for Cowboy” Charity Kickball Game and racing is scheduled to begin at 6:00 with any necessary B-Mains, features for all 10 divisions and capped off by the Enduro 100.  For more information log in to Lernerville.com and click the Steel City Stampede link.
