BENTON RIDGE, Ohio (February 7, 2023) – Reuniting with his ever-familiar No. w20, Benton Ridge, Ohio’s Greg Wilson is set to get the new year underway, ready to roll south with much of the open wheel world with the intent to kick-off the 2023 campaign with big momentum and big results. Wilson’s agenda will activate officially with a USCS doubleheader at Southern Raceway in Milton, Florida, on Friday and Saturday, February 10-11.
“We have a few things to button up, but we’re ready to get started,” Wilson said. “It’s hard to believe we’re already getting the new season started, but I certainly wouldn’t be in this position without all of our supporters at Greg Wilson Racing, most importantly Hercules Tires, DNC Hydraulics, and Ohio Logistics. They’ve been a part of my racing family for a long time and they’re the key part in getting this ‘w20’ team up and down the highway. Hopefully we can get the new season started on the right foot and build some solid momentum for the rest of the year.”
Once action in the panhandle is complete, Wilson will continue down the Florida path and join the All Star Circuit of Champions in a two-day invasion of East Bay Raceway Park in Tampa, Florida, on Monday and Tuesday, February 13-14. Certainly no stranger to All Star competition, Wilson is a former two-time champion of the Series, accomplishing those feats in back-to-back fashion during the 2006 and 2007 seasons. In addition, Wilson is a 25-time winner with “America’s Series,” most recently during action at Fremont Speedway in Fremont, Ohio, in 2015.
Although battling elbows-up is the key focus in Wilson’s southern venture, the Buckeye will spend additional time representing Hercules Tires at select dealer locations, the first being Appling Tire in Baxley, Georgia, on Friday, February 17, followed by a stop at Beverly Tire and Oil in Jessup, Georgia, on Saturday, February 18. The visits will extend from 11 a.m. until 3 p.m., respectively.

As mentioned, Greg Wilson and Greg Wilson Racing will activate their 2023 slate with a United Sprint Car Series (USCS) doubleheader at Southern Raceway in Milton, Florida, on Friday and Saturday, February 10-11. Wilson will then turn his focus toward All Star Circuit of Champions competition for an East Bay Raceway Park takeover on Monday and Tuesday, February 13-14. Each of the East Bay programs will award $6,000 top prizes.
