SANDUSKY, Ohio (April 27, 2023) – Any new race team will tell you, creating a detailed notebook, as well as building momentum, are key elements in developing success on the race track, but when Mother Nature constantly burdens and interferes with most chances for competition, objectives are hard to reach and lap time is tough to come by. Despite the fact, Sandusky, Ohio’s Chris Andrews maintains a positive outlook, continuously looking ahead at the next opportunity to learn with his newly formed team.

“It’s been tough to focus on our program when we are constantly worried about the weather. Although the cancellations have given us the chance to look over everything again…we were in such a hurry to get ready for the season,” Chris Andrews, driver of the Chris Andrews Racing/Ohio Truck Sales No. 15C, said. “I’m sure things will clear out and get back to normal soon. All we can do is take things one day at a time and be ready to go when the time comes.”

As noted, weather has been an issue for much of Andrews’ season, erasing his most recent plan of attack which was to join the Attica Fremont Championship Series (AFCS) in a pair of $4,000-to-win starts at Attica Raceway Park and Fremont Speedway on Friday and Saturday, April 21-22. The Series will try again this Friday and Saturday, April 28-29, with another $4,000-to-win pair; Saturday’s event at Fremont will also be the Speedway’s 2023 lid lifter.

Despite plenty of opportunity, Chris Andrews has made only two starts to date, those with the All Star Circuit of Champions in their annual Spring Nationals invasion of Attica Raceway Park. The former two-time Attica Raceway Park track champion qualified for each of the $6,000-to-win main events.

“I have a great team behind me and we’re ready to show off our hard work,” Andrews added. “We’ll get our chance. We just have to be patient.”
