Sammy Swindell grabbed the Lucas Oil ASCS preliminary feature win last night at USA Raceway during Western Worlds competition.
Sammy Swindell and Jerry Coons Jr. came out on top last night during the 44th Annual Kronik Energy Drinks Western World Championship- Sunoco Fuels Thursday night preliminary event.
The USA Raceway in Tuscon, Arizona saw Germantown, Tennessee native, Sammy Swindell, lead all but three laps in last night’s 25 lap, Lucas Oil ASCS Naitonal Tour preliminary feature. He would hold off Johnny Herrera and four time World of Outlaws Champion and defending Western Worlds Champion, Donny Schatz.
Jerry Coons Jr. held off Charles Davis and Bud Kaeding last night to earn his 25 lap preliminary win. He would lead all 25 laps at the 3/8’s mile USA Raceway for the non-wing ASCS Canyon Region preliminary win.
With their preliminary wins; both Swindell and Coons earn pole positions in Saturday night’s respective $15,000 to win and $5,000 to win Western World Championship feature events.
