FOREST, Ohio (April 26, 2021) – It was a competitive weekend in the Keystone State for Matt Westfall and Ray Marshall Motorsports, and although the Ohio-based team was unable to secure a top-ten during their four-race road trip with the USAC National Sprint Cars, the team remains eager and motivated, already looking ahead to their two-day visit to Kokomo Speedway in Kokomo, Indiana, on Friday and Saturday, April 30 and May 1.

“It was a really competitive weekend in Pennsylvania. The teams that traveled east with USAC are the best in the sport. We definitely had some good moments, but I don’t think we achieved what we set out to do,” Westfall said, who finished 16th, 14th, 13th, and 18th during his consecutive USAC starts at Grandview Speedway, Big Diamond Speedway, BAPS Motor Speedway, and Path Valley Speedway Park. “All we can do is keep our heads up and try again this weekend at Kokomo. We certainly know our way around that place. I think we can do some big things there this Friday and Saturday.”

Set to partake in the non-wing sprint car portion of the Kokomo Grand Prix, Westfall, driver of the Ray Marshall-owned/Ray Marshall Motorsports/Buckeye Machine Fabricators, Inc./Hempy Water/DPI Ink/No. 33M sprint car, will enter the weekend as a recent winner at the high-paced quarter-mile, scoring a victory during non-sanctioned action on Friday, April 9. Padding his Kokomo stats, Westfall was a Kokomo Speedway winner on at least one occasion during the last two seasons, each of which were Buckeye Outlaw Sprint Series (BOSS) victories.

Matt Westfall and Ray Marshall Motorsports will enter Kokomo Speedway with a pair of top-ten finishes to their credit thus far in 2021. In addition to their aforementioned win, the “Bumblebee Express” was seventh during the BOSS Series season opener at Waynesfield Raceway Park on March 27.
