FOREST, Ohio (June 14, 2021) – After what proved to be a hard-charging performance at Gas City I-69 Speedway on Friday, June 11, powering ahead from 18th to finish ninth during the non-wing sprint car segment of the USAC National Midget Series event, Matt Westfall and Ray Marshall Motorsports will continue on down the highway and resume their 2021 campaign in a big way, set to join the USAC National Sprint Cars for the annual Eastern Storm invasion on June 15-20.

Kicking-off with competition at Grandview Speedway on Tuesday, June 15, the 2021 edition of USAC’s Eastern Storm, featuring the nation’s best without the wings battling throughout Pennsylvania and New Jersey, will feature five rounds in six days, continuing with action at Bridgeport Motorsports Park on Wednesday, June 16, Selinsgrove Speedway on Thursday, June 17, Port Royal Speedway on Saturday, June 19, and Bloomsburg Fair Raceway on Sunday, June 20. All five events will award $6,000 top prizes.

“We’re ready to get to work,” Matt Westfall said, driver of Ray Marshall’s Ray Marshall Motorsports/Buckeye Machine Fabricators, Inc./Hempy Water/DPI Ink/No. 33M sprint car. “It’s going to be a long, competitive week, but we’re ready for the challenge and excited for the opportunity to earn a few USAC victories along the way. I just want to thank Ray Marshall for all of his support and confidence. We wouldn’t be out here racing a schedule like this if it wasn’t for Ray and his love for the sport. We have the equipment and the experience necessary to be successful with USAC and that’s exactly what we are going to try and do.”

Matt Westfall and the “Bumblebee Express” entry will enter the week-long, Eastern Storm affair with one victory to their credit thus far in 2021, that occurring at Kokomo Speedway in Kokomo, Indiana, on April 9. Certainly familiar with winning, Westfall and Ray Marshall Motorsports have earned a combined 11 victories since April 13, 2019.
