FOREST, Ohio (August 10, 2020) – Continuing to find forward progress in 2020, Matt Westfall and Ray Marshall Motorsports padded their season stat book with another competitive outcome, this time scoring a top-five performance during Buckeye Outlaw Sprint Series (BOSS) action at the legendary Fremont Speedway in Fremont, Ohio, on Saturday, August 8. Forced to do things the hard way, Westfall’s top-five result commenced from the outside of row three, eventually ending the BOSS main event just one step shy of the top spot on the podium.
Westfall and Ray Marshall Motorsports are certainly no strangers to ‘The Track That Action Built,’ as the Forest, Ohio-based motorsports program won the BOSS main event at Fremont Speedway last season, one of four BOSS victories for the No. 33M in 2019.
“We wanted one more spot, but we’ll take second and move forward. It’s tough to be upset about a podium finish,” Matt Westfall said, driver of the Ray Marshall-owned/Ray Marshall Motorsports/Buckeye Machine Fabricators, Inc./Hempy Water/DPI Ink/No. 33M non-wing sprint car. “Fremont Speedway has been really good to us. We’re hoping to get back there again soon.”
“The team did a great job. Wins are important, but solid finishes and being consistent is just as important,” Ray Marshall added. “We’re already looking forward to our next start.”
Matt Westfall and Ray Marshall Motorsports will unveil future plans in the coming days. Fans should stay alert on social media for continuing updates.
