FOREST, Ohio (May 29, 2024) – It was an action-packed week in the Hoosier State for Matt Westfall and Ray Marshall Motorsports, and despite an impressive three-race campaign that included a 12th-place outcome in Terre Haute’s Tony Hulman Classic, and a tenth-place score at Circle City Raceway, the team’s time to dwell is limited, as USAC returns to action Friday and Saturday with a visit to the Sprint Car Capital of the World.
Dubbed the Avanti Windows & Doors Corn Belt Clash, the two-day visit to Knoxville Raceway in Knoxville, Iowa, will be the first and only for USAC in 2024, awarding a total winner’s share reaching $20,000; $8,000 and $12,000, respectively.
Westfall, ace of Ray Marshall’s Buckeye Machine Fabricators Inc, Hempy Water, DPI Ink, Wix Filters, Rod End Supply, Allstar Performance, No. 33M sprint car, will roll into the weekend with four top-tens on the season, most notably a fifth-place performance at Eldora Speedway in Rossburg, Ohio, on Friday, May 3.
“We’ve had this one circled on our calendars for a long time…definitely excited to get back to Knoxville Raceway,” Westfall expressed. “We had a pretty solid week in Indiana last week, just need to put ourselves in a little better position early on in the night. Regardless, I can’t thank Ray and all of Ray Marshall Motorsports for their hard work and effort. We hope to put together two solid nights in Iowa.”
