FOREST, Ohio (October 4, 2021) – Despite a tough USAC National Sprint Car Series outing that resulted in an 18th-place finish at Terre Haute Action Track on Friday, October 1, Matt Westfall and Ray Marshall Motorsports will clear the slate and refocus, set to rejoin the Buckeye Outlaw Sprint Series (BOSS) for a doubleheader at I-96 Speedway in Lake Odessa, Michigan, on Friday and Saturday, October 8-9.

Dubbed Roll the Dice weekend, the BOSS Series doubleheader will award a total winner’s share equaling $4,000; $2,000 on Friday and $2,000 on Saturday. Westfall is a former Roll the Dice winner at I-96, scoring the $1,500 weekend opener a season ago. Impressive enough, Westfall swept the entire program, first setting the fastest time during qualifying time trials then winning his respective heat race.

Westfall will enter the Wolverine State with two victories on the season, scoring his most recent for Ray Marshall Motorsports during BOSS action at Pittsburgh’s Pennsylvania Motor Speedway on July 24.

“We’re ready to get the weekend started…we’re due for a win,” Westfall stated, a former BOSS Series champion and current BOSS Series championship leader, driver of Ray Marshall’s Ray Marshall Motorsports/Buckeye Machine Fabricators, Inc./Hempy Water/DPI Ink/”Bumblebee Express”/No. 33M sprint car. “It should be a fun weekend at I-96. We know our way around that place and we have some success there. I think we owe Ray (Marshall) a few more wins so we’ll do our best to sweep the weekend.”

Although his last victory was in July, Westfall has been successful on the BOSS trail since, earning a podium finish during a Fremont Speedway visit on September 18.
