FOREST, Ohio (May 13, 2024) – It was a hard-fought weekend in the Hoosier State for Matt Westfall and Forest, Ohio’s Ray Marshall Motorsports, joining the USAC National Sprint Cars in a two-race sweep through Bloomington and Haubstadt on Friday and Saturday, May 10-11. Although missing the top-ten in their Saturday stop at Tri-State Speedway, the team’s Friday night result at Bloomington made up for the miss, capping the evening with an impressive tenth-place outcome after starting from row nine.
If starting 17th was not enough, Westfall was forced to qualify for the evening’s main event through the consolation Semi, finishing second to do so.
The top-ten was Westfall’s third of his USAC campaign, highlighting all season statistics with a top-five at the World’s Greatest Dirt Track, Eldora Speedway in Rossburg, Ohio.
Westfall and Ray Marshall Motorsprots finished 15 at Tri-State Speedway; they started 17th.
“Hats off to Ray and everyone else here at Ray Marshall Motorsports. Those little bullrings can be tough, but we love racing on them,” Westfall, ace of Ray Marshall’s Buckeye Machine Fabricators Inc, Hempy Water, DPI Ink, Wix Filters, Rod End Supply, Allstar Performance, No. 33M sprint car, said. “We have a little bit of time before we go at it again. It will be a busy week leading into the Indy 500.”
ON DECK:
Matt Westfall and Ray Marshall Motorsports will continue their 2024 USAC National Sprint Cars campaign with midweek visits to Terre Haute Action Track in Terre Haute, Indiana, and Circle City Raceway in Indianapolis, Indiana, on Tuesday through Thursday, May 21-23; Terre Haute on Tuesday and Circle City on Wednesday and Thursday.
