FOREST, Ohio (June 3, 2024) – It was a weekend to be proud of for Matt Westfall and Ray Marshall Motorsports, eventually capping Knoxville Raceway’s Corn Belt Clash with not only speed, but consistency, collecting back-to-back 12th-place scores and a heat race victory to boot. Westfall’s weekend at the Sprint Car Capital of the World will prove vital, as the annual Eastern Storm, featuring six programs in 2024, is set to launch in just over a week.
As expressed, Westfall, ace of Ray Marshall’s Buckeye Machine Fabricators Inc, Hempy Water, DPI Ink, Wix Filters, Rod End Supply, Allstar Performance, No. 33M sprint car, finished 12th in each of his weekend outcomes, kicking things off with a heat race victory on Friday, May 31. Although feature results were exactly the same, it was Saturday’s that proved to be the most notable, advancing four positions after starting 16th on the Corn Belt Clash finale lineup.
“It’s always great getting back to Knoxville. It’s the Sprint Car Capital of the World for a reason and we were thrilled for the opportunity to get back there,” Westfall noted. “We have a little bit of a break before we get things going with the Eastern Storm. Kinda like Knoxville, we enjoy the opportunity to visit Pennsylvania and New Jersey. It’s a special place to race and the fans are really passionate. It should be a great trip.”
