FOREST, Ohio (June 13, 2022) – Despite losing the first night to Mother Nature, the remainder of Matt Westfall’s weekend in the Show-Me State went on as planned, joining the Xtreme Outlaw Sprint Car Series for the 410 Nationals at Lake Ozark Speedway in Eldon, Missouri, on Saturday, June 11.
Resulting in his best performance of the season against the Xtreme non-wing warriors, Westfall, driver of Ray Marshall’s Buckeye Machine Fabricators, Inc./Hempy Water/DPI Ink/No. 33M sprint car, finished second on Saturday night in central Missouri, climbing ahead one spot after starting third on the grid. Although short, the climb was challenging, forced to drive by CJ Leary while avoiding near contact with the outside retaining wall.
Certainly no stranger to Xtreme action at Lake Ozark Speedway, Westfall finished fourth during a Series start at the Missouri complex in early April, charging ahead from the outside of row six.
“I would have liked two chances at Lake Ozark, but you can’t fight Mother Nature,” Westfall said, who earned his first win of the season at I-96 Speedway in Lake Odessa, Michigan, on June 3. “Hats off to this entire team, especially Ray Marshall. He gives us the opportunity to go out here and do this. We’ve been pretty happy with our results but I think we owe Ray another win here soon. We’ll work hard to get it during the Eastern Storm.”

Matt Westfall and Ray Marshall Motorsports will continue their 2022 campaign with USAC’s annual Eastern Storm on Tuesday through Sunday, June 14-19, visiting Grandview Speedway in Bechtelsville, Pennsylvania, Bridgeport Speedway in Swedesboro, New Jersey, Selinsgrove Speedway in Selinsgrove, Pennsylvania, Williams Grove Speedway in Mechanicsburg, Pennsylvania, Port Royal Speedway in Port Royal, Pennsylvania, and Bloomsburg Fair Raceway in Bloomsburg, Pennsylvania, all in consecutive fashion.
