FOREST, Ohio (March 13, 2023) – Working to pad a stretch of success that stems back to starts in the Sunshine State, Pleasant Hill, Ohio’s Matt Westfall and Forest, Ohio-based Ray Marshall Motorsports rolled into Paragon Speedway in Paragon, Indiana, with a full head of steam, ready to challenge the Hoosier State’s finest in the annual No Way Out 40 paying $10,000-to-win.
Although Westfall was short of attaining his first victory of the season, the former BOSS Series champion did the next best thing and finished second in the non-wing blockbuster, doing so from the inside of row four. Sutter, California’s Logan Seavey was the eventual No Way Out 40 champion; there were 32 cars in attendance.
With their Paragon results included, Westfall and Ray Marshall Motorsports are now four for four in the top-ten column in their last four starts; the runner-up result was Westfall’s first top-five of the season.
The team has finished tenth, seventh, eighth, and second.
“It was a great way to get the Indiana season started. We would have liked to get one more spot, but we’ll take this momentum boost and move forward,” Westfall, driver of the Ray Marshall Motorsports, Buckeye Machine Fabricators Inc, Hempy Water, DPI Ink, No. 33M sprint car, said. “I can’t thank Ray Marshall enough for all of his support over the years. He’s the one that makes results like this possible. We’ll get him a win soon…that’s our plan.”

Earned three consecutive USAC National Sprint Car Series top-ten finishes during visits to Volusia Speedway Park and Bubba Raceway Park on February 14, 16, and 18; tenth, seventh, and eighth, respectively. Finished second in Paragon Speedway’s No Way Out 40 on Saturday, March 11 – he started seventh.
