FOREST, Ohio (June 17, 2024) – It was a hard-fought week in Pennsylvania and New Jersey for Matt Westfall and Ray Marshall Motorsports, but despite an action-packed week with some of the best non-wing open wheelers in the country, there were plenty of shining moments.
Westfall, ace of Ray Marshall’s Buckeye Machine Fabricators Inc, Hempy Water, DPI Ink, Wix Filters, Rod End Supply, Allstar Performance, No. 33M “Bumblebee Express,” concluded USAC’s annual Eastern Storm with six-straight nights of racing and six A-Main appearances, highlighting their campaign with a 12th-place score at Bridgeport Motorsports Park in Swedesboro, New Jersey, on Wednesday, June 12. The Pleasant Hill, Ohio, native commenced action from the inside of row five.
In addition, Westfall and Ray Marshall Motorsports finished 16th at Grandview Speedway in Bechtelsville, Pennsylvania, on Tuesday, June 11, 16th at Big Diamond Speedway in Pottsville, Pennsylvania, on Thursday, June 13, 14th at Williams Grove Speedway in Mechanicsburg, Pennsylvania, on Friday, June 14, 16th at Port Royal Speedway in Port Royal, Pennsylvania, on Saturday, June 15, and 21st at Action Track USA in Kutztown, Pennsylvania, on Sunday, June 16.
“We look forward to the Eastern Storm swing each and every year, but it’s as competitive as it gets. Can’t make any mistakes or you’ll pay for it,” Westfall explained. “We had some solid nights, just short of the top-ten column. Regardless, I am proud of our team. It’s never easy racing six straight nights, especially when factoring in travel, maintenance, and other wear and tear. Of course, we wouldn’t be in this position without Ray Marshall. He’s the backbone of this operation and we’re proud to be flying the ‘Bumblebee Express’ colors. Here’s to big results next weekend in Wisconsin.”

Matt Westfall and Ray Marshall Motorsports will continue their 2024 USAC National Sprint Cars campaign with a doubleheader in the Badger State, visiting Wilmot Raceway in Wilmot, Wisconsin, and Angell Park Speedway in Sun Prairie, Wisconsin, on Saturday and Sunday, June 22-23.
