FOREST, Ohio (May 6, 2024) – Matt Westfall and Ray Marshall Motorsports certainly know their way around the World’s Greatest Dirt Track, and the Forest, Ohio-based non-wing operation certainly proved that point yet again in Eldora Speedway’s #LetsRaceTwo doubleheader, securing a top-five in the USAC National Sprint Cars’ weekend opener before capping the event with a 12th-place score on Saturday.
Westfall, who has won in just about everything at Eldora Speedway, finished fifth in his top-five appearance, impressively rallying forward after starting 12th on the $10,000-to-win grid. The recent USAC winner in Arkansas battled as high as fourth in the 30-lapper, ultimately losing the position to eventual winner Robert Ballou on lap 24.
The top-five was Ray Marshall Motorsports’ best of the USAC season thus far, bettering a sixth-place outcome attained at Ocala Speedway.
Westfall’s Saturday night outcome was accompanied by a heat race victory.
“I’m proud of Matt [Westfall] and the entire team,” Ray Marshall, owner of the Buckeye Machine Fabricators Inc, Hempy Water, DPI Ink, Wix Filters, Rod End Supply, Allstar Performance, No. 33M sprint car, said. “Eldora can be a demanding place to race, but we proved we can race with anyone there. We get to switch gears a little bit and race on two Indiana bullrings this weekend. It should be a fun stretch in Indiana.”

Matt Westfall and Ray Marshall Motorsports will continue their 2024 USAC National Sprint Cars campaign with an Indiana doubleheader at Bloomington Speedway in Bloomington, Indiana, and Tri-State Speedway in Haubstadt, Indiana, on Friday and Saturday, May 10-11.
