FOREST, Ohio (September 28, 2020) – Matt Westfall and Ray Marshall Motorsports put together a stout performance during the recent weekend, ultimately turning a pair of Buckeye Outlaw Sprint Series (BOSS) starts into a pair of top-ten finishes, one of which a victory during action at I-96 Speedway in Lake Odessa, Michigan, on Friday, September 25. Westfall started third on the BOSS grid, eventually solidifying his second BOSS victory of the season and his sixth over the course of two years.

Although not matching his Friday night outcome, Westfall capped his recent weekend with a tenth-place outing during BOSS Series action at Fremont Speedway on Saturday, September 26; Westfall started 11th.

“It was a great weekend for us. It feels good to be back in victory lane. We’ve been close a lot this season, so we owed this to ourselves,” Westfall said, driver of the Ray Marshall-owned/Ray Marshall Motorsports/ Buckeye Machine Fabricators, Inc./Hempy Water/DPI Ink/No. 33M sprint car. “I can’t thank Ray Marshall enough for the opportunity to drive his car. He is as passionate as they come, so to get a win for him is really special. Hopefully we can keep this momentum going and get a few more before our season comes to close.”

“I’m proud of everyone. We couldn’t be happier,” Ray Marshall said, the 2019 BOSS Series championship car owner. “Matt (Westfall) and the entire team does such a great job. We’ll work for a few more wins this year.”

Matt Westfall and Ray Marshall Motorsports will continue their 2020 season with another doubleheader weekend, this time visiting Gas City I-69 Speedway on Friday, October 2, followed by the USAC National Sprint Series finale at Lawrenceburg Speedway in Lawrenceburg, Indiana, on Saturday, October 3.
