FOREST, Ohio (July 25, 2024) – It’s a demanding week in the Hoosier State, but just as years prior, the demand is to be expected, as non-wing enthusiasts and racers alike are set to assemble for another edition of Indiana Sprint Week, celebrating 37 years in 2024.
Commencing officially at Lincoln Park Speedway in Putnamville, Indiana, on Friday, July 26, USAC’s Indiana Sprint Week will feature seven events in nine days, and as the name implies, the tour will circumnavigate much of the state, concluding at the legendary Tri-State Speedway in Haubstadt, Indiana, on Saturday, August 3.
Matt Westfall, ace of Ray Marshall’s Buckeye Machine Fabricators Inc, Hempy Water, DPI Ink, Wix Filters, Rod End Supply, Allstar Performance, No. 33M sprint car, will roll into Indiana Sprint Week on the coattails of a recent victory – his first of the season – attained at Paragon Speedway in Paragon, Indiana, on June 23; the triumph was worth $3,000.
In addition, Westfall and Ray Marshall Motorsports own five top-tens on the season, one of which a fifth-place performance at the World’s Greatest Dirt Track, Eldora Speedway in Rossburg, Ohio, on Friday, May 3.
“It’s the week everyone looks toward. It’s demanding, but I don’t think anyone would have it any other way,” Westfall, a former BOSS Series champion, expressed. “Hats off to Ray and everyone at Ray Marshall Motorsports for giving us the opportunity to go out and do this. It should be a competitive, yet exciting week.”
