VINCENTOWN, N.J. (September 8, 2020) – Justin Whittall’s weekend in the Keystone State kicked-off in impressive fashion, not only securing another chalk line in the top-five column, but doing so during Port Royal Speedway’s annual Juniata County Fair opener on Saturday, September 5.
Whittall, driver of the JW Motorsports, Brotherton Brewing Company, Beechwood Landscape Architecture and Construction LLC, Pioneer Auto Body, Mid-Atlantic Transport, Worldwide Bearings, FK Rod Ends, Stilo Helmets, JG Kronenberger Fine Jewelry, Keizer Aluminum Wheels, Enterprise, Ground Blind Boys, No. 67 sprint car, finished fifth during his visit to the Port Royal “Speed Palace” on Saturday evening, doing so after lining-up second on the evening grid. The Vincentown, New Jersey-native now owns a pair of top-five outcomes at Port Royal Speedway in 2020, the first occurring during Open Wheel Madness action on June 20.
Other recent weekend results include finishing 14th at Selinsgrove Speedway on Sunday, September 6, followed by an 18th-place score during Port Royal’s Labor Day Classic on Sunday, September 7.
“It felt good to come right out of the gate last weekend and earn a solid finish. That’s just what this team needed. The rest of the weekend didn’t go as well as Saturday, but we know we have what it takes to race near the front,” Justin Whittall explained, who highlights all 2020 starts with a podium run at Port Royal Speedway. “I can’t thank my team and all of my partners enough for believing in me. We have a big one this weekend. Some of the best in the country will be at Port Royal, but we’re not worried about it. We can only control what’s directly in front of us. I’m ready to get back at it.”
Justin Whittall and JW Motorsports will continue their 2020 campaign with the three-day Tuscarora 50 at Port Royal Speedway on Thursday through Saturday, September 10-12. The All Star Circuit of Champions program will conclude with a 50-lap, $53,000-to-win main event on Saturday.
