Williams Grove Speedway
FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
5/5/13

Mechanicsburg – Williams Grove Speedway will give the sprint car drivers one more chance to ready themselves for the May 17 and 18 invasion by the World of Outlaws sprints when it hosts a tune up night this Friday, May 10.

Racing on Friday will get underway at 7:30 pm and the Tool Shed of America 358 sprints will also be on the Friday card.

Racing will continue May 11 with a Saturday Series program of sportsman, 358 late models and street stocks.

This Friday’s WoO tune up program will also be the second leg of the 2013 Diamond Series races that kicked off on April 26 when Donnie Kreitz upended the All Star Circuit of Champions Sprints.

Time trials will be used to set the starting grids for the 410 sprints throughout the night this week.
Friday’s 410 sprint car feature will be 25-laps in distance and will pay $4,000 to the winner.

The 358 sprints will compete in a regular program.

And then the following weekend on May 17 and 18, the first invasion of the season by the World of Outlaws sprint cars will take place at Williams Grove Speedway.

The invasion will be a welcome home of sorts for World of Outlaws point leader Daryn Pittman of Owasso, Oklahoma.

Pittman currently sits on top of the standings at the wheel of a Kasey Kahne Racing entry but spent the last few seasons piloting and winning in the Central Pennsylvania region.

Sprint winners to date this season at Williams Grove have been Fred Rahmer, Cory Haas, Danny Dietrich, Kreitz and Rick Lafferty. Winners in the 358 ranks have been Austin Hogue and most recently Kevin Nouse.
