Williams Grove Speedway
FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

Mechanicsburg – Like a phoenix rising from the ashes, the sprint car purses are going to rise on Friday night, July 27 at Williams Grove Speedway as the track pumps more money into the driver’s pockets!

On tap for the program will be points handicapped racing for both the 410 and 358 sprint cars but the purses will be increased from beginning to end and in more ways than one.

Pit admission for next week will be increased by a modest $5 increment but that money will be coming back to the racers in turn thanks to the effort.

First off, an additional $400 will go to the 410 sprint winner, giving him an even $4,000 for his 25 laps of work.

And the 358 sprint winner will get an additional $100 on top of his usual share.

But that’s not all!

Feature finishing positions second through 24th will also see an increase in each division, with an extra $100 going to finishers 2 – 24 in the 410 sprints and an extra $50 going to those same finishers in the 358s.

And then comes the fan side of the equation.

As always, the Williams Grove portion of the 50/50 ticket sales will go to a local charity, and next week the lucky recipient will be the Eastern Museum of Motor Racing near Dillsburg.

However next week, whatever the winner’s share of the 50/50 turns out to be, the boss at Williams Grove Speedway will match with a like amount and that match will be split up to the drivers as well.

So, the more 50/50 tickets you buy, the more the boss will have to dish out to the drivers.

The matched amount will be split up between the first, second and third place finishers in both the 410 and 358 sprint features with portions of 25%, 15% and 10% going to first, second and third respectively.

So, as you can see, it pays to play next week in more ways than one.

If you’re a sprint car team, it’s more worth the effort if you come to the races to play in the clay.

And if you’re a fan, it’s more gratifying to buy a 50/50 ticket as you can up the driver’s earnings. The more you buy, the more they make.

Plus, you get the satisfaction of making the boss at the Grove dig deep into her pockets to satisfy the match portion.

The more 50/50 tickets you buy, the more money she’ll have to come up with and the more you might win in the 50/50 drawing.

Action is slated to get underway at 7:30 pm.
