Mechanicsburg – Williams Grove Speedway will be in action twice over the upcoming Labor Day holiday weekend, first with the Jack Gunn Memorial triple 20s on Friday, August 31 and then later with the Billy Kimmel Memorial for the Lawrence Chevrolet Sprint Cars on Sunday night, September 2.

The Sunday date will serve as a rain date for the Jack Gunn Memorial.

If that event is run as scheduled on Friday, the Kimmel Memorial will be presented on Sunday featuring three open wheel divisions, including 358-sprints and super sportsman cars along with the 410 sprints starting at 7:00 pm.

The Kimmel Memorial will include a regular show for the 410 sprint cars however the format for the 358 sprints and super sportsman will be a bit different than the norm for the divisions.

The top 10 in Williams Grove points in the classes will be locked into feature starting positions 3 – 12 with a full inversion in effect.

The balance of the 358 and sportsman fields will compete in a pair of qualifying races for each of the divisions with the winners of each race scoring the front rows of their respective mains.

The balance of the qualifier fields will fill out positions 13 – 24 in the mains, lined up heads up based on qualifier finishes.

A fireworks display is also on the holiday-eve agenda.
