Denver, PA (July 17th, 2013) – Alan Krimes of Denver, Pennsylvania will have another opportunity to earn a career-first World of Outlaws STP Sprint Car Series win this weekend as ‘The Greatest Show on Dirt’ is set to invade the Williams Grove Speedway in Mechanicsburg, Pennsylvania this Friday and Saturday, July 19th & 20th for the annual ‘Summer Nationals.’ Krimes, who is a one-time ‘410’ feature winner at the Williams Grove Speedway in 2013, and former ‘Mitch Smith Memorial’ champion at the speedway, will pilot his familiar Conestoga Valley Garage, Krimes Racing Engines, no. 87 ‘410’ sprint car again this weekend at the world-famous half-mile; in hopes of defending his ‘home dirt’ against the coast-to-coast travelers. Daryn Pittman will lead the outlaw charge into Williams Grove Speedway. The Oklahoma native is the current point leader and owns seven (7) wins on the tour in 2013. The ‘Summer Nationals’ program will be highlighted with a 30-lap, $20,000-to-win weekend finale for the World of Outlaws STP Sprint Car Series at the Williams Grove Speedway on Saturday evening, July 20th. The ‘Summer Nationals’ weekend will begin with a 25-lap, $8,000-to-win main event on Friday evening, July 19th. The Conestoga Valley Garage ‘87’ team will actually kick-off their upcoming weekend on Thursday evening, July 18th with a full evening of competition at the Lincoln Speedway in Abbottstown, Pennsylvania. The Thursday night show for the ‘410’ sprint cars, as well as the ‘358’ sprint cars, will feature qualifying time trials for the ‘410’ sprinters; with action set to begin at 7:30PM. Krimes has been ultra-consistent at the Pigeon Hills 3/8’s mile oval in 2013; earning three (3) ‘410’ sprint car main event wins at the Lincoln Speedway; including one (1) UNOH All Star Circuit of Champions victory worth $5,000. The Denver native finds himself fourth (4th) in the current Lincoln Speedway ‘410’ sprint car driver standings; on the strength of three (3) wins and an incredible thirteen (13) top-five finishes. The Conestoga Valley Garage ‘87’ will also enter the weekend sixth (6th) in the current SPEEDWAY MOTORS/CHAMPION RACING OIL CENTRAL PA SPRINT CARS Presented by HOSEHEADS standings; on the strength of four (4) total ‘410’ sprint car wins in Central Pennsylvania in 2013 thus far. ‘Super Krimes’ parked it in victory lane at the Lincoln Speedway three (3) times this season, and once (1) at the Williams Grove Speedway. ‘Fast’ Freddie Rahmer is the current Lincoln Speedway and Central PA point leader.
