BENTON RIDGE, Ohio (June 3, 2024) – A last minute plan to join the World of Outlaws Sprint Car Series at Beaver Dam Raceway in Beaver Dam, Wisconsin, certainly paid off for Greg Wilson and Greg Wilson Racing, not only qualifying for Friday’s Jim “JB” Boyd Memorial main event, but racing on to finish 11th; a two spot jump after starting 13th for the 30-lap contest.
For Wilson, ace of his own Hercules Tires, Ohio Logistics Warehousing & Transportation, DNC Hydraulics, No. W20 sprint car, the A-Main outcome was a perfect momentum kick, set to continue his 2024 campaign with nine straight days of FAST on Dirt Ohio Sprint Speedweek competition commencing Friday, June 7, at Attica Raceway Park. Certainly no stranger to Ohio Sprint Speedweek, Wilson is a former event champion, securing his first and only Speedweek title in 2015.
Unfortunately, Mother Nature stepped in and ruined the $20,000-to-win Jim Boyd Memorial finale at Beaver Dam Raceway; the event has been postponed until July 10.
“Feels good to get back to Beaver Dam with the World of Outlaws. It really wasn’t our intended plan, but things just kinda worked out and we were happy to make the trip. It would have been better to get both nights in, but it was a nice momentum and scenery change heading into Speedweek,” Wilson explained. “A big thanks to everyone who helped us get back into race mode for the weekend. We’ve had some off track bad luck, but we’re hoping a solid Speedweek will help us wash the slate clean and really get the second half of the year rolling in the right direction.”

If all goes according to plan, Greg Wilson and Greg Wilson Racing will continue their 2024 campaign with a full FAST on Dirt Ohio Sprint Speedweek slate beginning at Attica Raceway Park in Attica, Ohio, on Friday, June 7.
