Miley Earns Two Top-Five Finishes During ‘Pittsburgher 100’ Weekend

Pittsburgh, PA (September 16th, 2014) – After spending the most recent weekend competing close to home at Pittsburgh’s Pennsylvania Motor Speedway near Imperial, Pennsylvania, Jared Miley and the entire Jared Miley Racing ‘H1’ team will venture approximately 200 miles southeast to the Winchester Speedway near Winchester, Virginia for a full weekend of super late model competition. Miley will participate in the annual ‘Winchester 200’ at Winchester Speedway; complete with two-full programs and an $8,500 possibility. The ‘Winchester 200’ weekend will initiate on Friday evening, September 19th with a 30-lap/$2,500-to-win program; complete with time trials and heat races.
“Should be a really fun weekend…we are excited” explained Matt Miley; Jared Miley’s brother and crew chief, “Things have been going our way lately and it makes our job much easier…hopefully we can go to Winchester this weekend and continue what we have been doing…we’ve been successful at a lot of different tracks this year and that does a lot for our confidence heading into a big multi-day event like the Winchester 200…we’ll see what happens this weekend!”
The ‘Winchester 200’ weekend will continue on Saturday evening, September 20th; complete with a 50-lap main event, awarding $6,000 to the main event winner. The two-day marquee event will feature some of the Mid-Atlantic’s most competitive super late model drivers and teams; including recent Winchester Speedway point champion, J.T. Spence. Although this will be Jared Miley’s first visit to the Winchester Speedway in 2014, the Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania native is certainly no stranger to regional competition. Miley owns eight victories in 2014 at five different race tracks across western Pennsylvania and New York. The pilot of the Jared Miley Racing, Colussy Chevrolet, Octane Graphix, Brougher’s Machine Shop, Rocket Chassis, FullyInjected.com, ‘H1’ will aim towards the ‘double-digit’ mark this weekend and work for a ‘sweep’ in Winchester.
“We got a shot…a lot of teams do” explained Matt Miley when discussing the possibility of a ‘Winchester 200’ sweep, “We will be in some good company, that is for sure…if we race at our maximum potential, anything can happen…we don’t get to visit Winchester Speedway very often so that’s an obvious disadvantage…but I think every team’s goal is to win every weekend…we’ll go there with the same mental attitude that we always have and work towards a win on both nights.”
During recent action, Jared Miley earned back-to-back top-five finishes during the ‘Pittsburgher 100’ weekend at the Pittsburgh’s Pennsylvania Motor Speedway near Imperial, Pennsylvania. Miley finished fourth and fifth during the ‘Pittsburgher 100’ weekend; which took place on Saturday and Sunday, September 13th & 14th. Each event was 50 laps in distance; awarding $5,000 to the winner. Fellow western Pennsylvania native Gregg Satterlee earned the weekend ‘sweep.’
