Xavier Doney and Doney-Lawson Racing make gains in Knoxville Nationals; POWRi tripleheader launches Friday at Lakeside

ODESSA, Mo. (August 11, 2025) – In all, it was a smooth and competitive effort for Xavier Doney and Doney-Lawson Racing (DLR) at the 64th Knoxville Nationals at Knoxville Raceway, and although the team was forced to cap their four-day campaign with a 19th-place effort in Saturday’s C-Main, there were plenty of shining moments in between, one of which an impressive rally in Friday’s Hard Knox B.
Xavier, ace of the Doney-Lawson Racing, Schnee-Lawson Chassis House Cars, Design Source Flooring, Schnee-Lawson Chassis, Motor Haven, MVP Logistics, T&T Equine, Prime Composite, Steve & Mandy Griffin Family, JDLawsonMedia, Stanton Racing Engines, No. 74 sprinter, finished eighth in his respective Hard Knox B-Main appearance, cruising ahead from 17th to do so. Despite missing a transfer position into the evening’s Hard Knox A-Main, it was an important display for Xavier Doney, ready to switch that momentum back to the Sunflower and Show-Me states beginning Friday.
Xavier Doney, rejoining teammate and younger sister Natalie Doney, will continue their 2025 campaign with a POWRi Honest Abe Roofing 410 Outlaw Sprint League triple through Kansas and Missouri on Friday through Sunday, August 15-17. The Schnee-Lawson Chassis House Cars duo will launch action at Lakeside Speedway in Kansas City, Kansas, on Friday, followed by visits to Lucas Oil Speedway in Wheatland, Missouri, and Missouri State Fair Speedway in Sedalia, Missouri, on Saturday and Sunday, respectively.
Despite Mother Nature washing away much of the POWRi 410 season, Xavier and Natalie will roll into Lakeside within the top-ten of the POWRi championship battle; Xavier is currently fourth and Natalie is tenth.
