Xavier Doney battles Greatest Show On Dirt in Missouri; POWRi lidlifter at 34 Raceway ahead

ODESSA, Mo. (March 30, 2026) – It was a chilly night in the Show-Me State, but Doney-Lawson Racing’s (DLR) Xavier Doney was up for the task, joining the World of Outlaws Sprint Car Series in the KC Classic at US 36 Raceway in Osborn, Missouri, on Friday, March 27.
In all, a consistent effort by the Odessa, Missouri, native, racing on to not only qualify through his respective heat race, but eventually cap the evening with a 17th-place score in the 30-lap main event. A respectable outing for the Doney-Lawson Racing | Schee-Lawson Chassis House Car program, the team launched their evening in the Show-Me State with the 15th-fastest qualifying time of 28 entries.
The coming Easter Weekend will prove to be just as busy for DLR, setting their compass toward the Hawkeye State for the two-day POWRi invasion of 34 Raceway on Friday and Saturday, April 3-4. Natalie Doney, Xavier’s younger sister and teammate at Doney-Lawson Racing powered by Kat Excavation, Pella Building Systems-Mini Storage Specialists, Schnee-Lawson Chassis, Motor Haven, Five Star Bodies, and Stanton Racing Engines, will make her 2026 debut in the aforementioned doubleheader.
The Doney Family are certainly no strangers to POWRi competition, as Xavier finished third in the 2025 Series championship.

Doney-Lawson Racing and the Schnee-Lawson Chassis House Cars will continue their 2026 season by joining the POWRi 410 Outlaw Sprint Series at 34 Raceway in West Burlington, Iowa, on Friday and Saturday, April 3-4.
