ODESSA, Mo. (August 5, 2024) – It was a tough week in the Hoosier State for Xavier Doney and Doney-Lawson Racing, and although the Odessa, Missouri-based open wheel program missed A-Main competition in each night of their Indiana Sprint Week agenda, the potential, drive and determination was there, highlighting all attempts with a near miss at the Terre Haute Action Track in Terre Haute, Indiana, on August 1 – fifth in the consolation Semi with only four making the cut. 

In addition, Doney, wheelman of the Schnee-Lawson Chassis, Motor Haven, Design Source Flooring, Able Group, No. 74 sprinter, was well within a transfer position in Saturday’s consolation Semi at Tri-State Speedway in Haubstadt, Indiana, that until disaster struck resulting in an upside-down race car. Contact with the outside retaining wall was the culprit, battling for third at the time of the incident.

Across the Midwest in Grain Valley, Missouri, Natalie Doney, the younger sister and teammate of Xavier Doney – also in charge of a Schnee-Lawson Chassis House Car – was in action at Valley Speedway, eventually concluding her 305 sprint car start with a top-ten score on Saturday, August 3. The top-ten, finishing eighth officially, was her second at the Valley short track since June 1.

SCHNEE-LAWSON CHASSIS HOUSE CAR UPCOMING SCHEDULE:
Xavier Doney and Doney-Lawson Racing will resume their 2024 campaign with the coveted 63rd Knoxville Nationals at Knoxville Raceway in Knoxville, Iowa, on Wednesday through Saturday, August 7-10.

RECENT HIGHLIGHTS:
Xavier Doney finished sixth during USAC National Sprint Cars competition at Knoxville Raceway in Knoxville, Iowa, on Friday, May 31. Qualified for the Rayce Rudeen Foundation Race finale at I-70 Speedway in Odessa, Missouri, on Saturday, June 8; he was scored 21st. Won WAR main event at Crawford County Speedway in Denison, Iowa, on Friday, June 14. Xavier Doney won WAR main event at Lake Ozark Speedway in Eldon, Missouri, on Saturday, July 6 (finished second one night prior). Finished sixth in POWRi 410 Outlaw Sprint Series start at Lakeside Speedway in Kansas City, Kansas, on Friday, July 26.

Natalie Doney finished ninth during 305 sprint car competition at Valley Speedway in Grain Valley, Missouri, on Saturday, June 1. Finished fourth during 305 sprint car action at Nevada Speedway in Nevada, Missouri, on Saturday, June 15. Finished sixth at Double-X Speedway in California, Missouri, on Sunday, June 30. Finished sixth at I-35 Speedway on Saturday, July 20. Finished third in the 305 sprint car main event at Double X Speedway on Sunday, July 21. Finished seventh in the 360 main event at Double X Speedway on Sunday, July 21. Finished eighth at Valley Speedway in Grain Valley, Missouri, on August 3.
