ODESSA, Mo. (August 12, 2024) – In all, a great effort and a great Knoxville Nationals experience for Xavier Doney and Doney-Lawson Racing, capping the four-day “Granddaddy Of Them All” at Knoxville Raceway in Knoxville, Iowa, with a D-Main start on Saturday, August 10. Doney, a recent WAR Sprints winner at Lake Ozark Speedway and ace of the Schnee-Lawson Chassis, Motor Haven, Design Source Flooring, Able Group, No. 74 sprint car, was scored 15th in his D-Main appearance, activating all preliminary competition with an 18th-place finish in Thursday’s B-Main.

With his preliminary results short of a “lock in” position, Doney’s Knoxville Nationals effort continued on Friday, August 9, participating in the Hard Knox program giving competitors one last chance to improve their starting positions for Saturday’s finale. The Odessa, Missouri, native raced on to finish 13th in the second of two B-Mains, thus placing him in the aforementioned Saturday D – a valiant effort for the Knoxville Nationals rookie.

Although the coveted Knoxville Nationals are officially in the books, Doney’s busy August agenda is far from over, already aiming ahead at a trio of POWRi 410 starts on Friday through Sunday, August 16-18. The POWRi trio will consist of three Missouri tracks beginning with a stop at Midway Speedway on Friday, August 16.

In addition, Natalie Doney, Xavier’s younger sister and Schnee-Lawson Chassis House Cars teammate, will also be in action during the coming weekend, set to take on 305 action at Lucas Oil Speedway on Saturday, August 17.
