ODESSA, Mo. (July 29, 2024) – Despite Saturday’s planned visit to I-70 Speedway in Odessa, Missouri, ending before it started, canceled due to a short car count projection, Xavier Doney and Doney-Lawson Racing made the most of their Friday night POWRi 410 Outlaw start at Lakeside Speedway in Kansas City, Kansas, capping their evening in the Sunflower State with a top-ten appearance – highlighting all preliminary competition with a heat race victory.
Doney, ace of the Schnee-Lawson Chassis, Motor Haven, Design Source Flooring, Able Group, No. 74 sprinter, finished sixth in his top-ten appearance, commencing main event competition from fourth on the grid.
Although a short weekend in terms of starts, Xavier Doney and Doney-Lawson Racing have much to look forward to, set to join the USAC National Sprint Cars for Indiana Sprint Week (ISW) competition beginning at Lawrenceburg Speedway in Lawrenceburg, Indiana, on Tuesday, July 30. The Odessa, Missouri, native will compete in the remaining five rounds of ISW, all of which concluding at Tri-State Speedway in Haubstadt, Indiana, on Saturday, August 3.

Won WAR main event at Crawford County Speedway in Denison, Iowa, on Friday, June 14. Xavier Doney won WAR main event at Lake Ozark Speedway in Eldon, Missouri, on Saturday, July 6 (finished second one night prior). Finished sixth in POWRi 410 Outlaw Sprint Series start at Lakeside Speedway in Kansas City, Kansas, on Friday, July 26.
