JONESTOWN, Pa. (May 4, 2020) – Curing the itch to compete has been difficult for many in the open wheel world, but for Brock Zearfoss and Brock Zearfoss Racing, the cure awaits in Iowa and Texas.

With plans to compete in three events over a six-day period, Zearfoss will activate his return to the Midwest with a stop at Knoxville Raceway in Knoxville, Iowa, on Friday, May 8, and join the World of Outlaws Sprint Car Series for a chance at $10,000 and a second-ever WoO triumph. Certainly no stranger to the Sprint Car Capital of the World, Zearfoss was a 2018 Knoxville Nationals A-Main qualifier and finished 19th.

Zearfoss will continue his six-day campaign nearly 900 miles southwest of Knoxville, Iowa, in Lubbock, Texas, where the ‘Jonestown Jet’ will enter the West Texas Crude Nationals at West Texas Raceway on Tuesday and Wednesday, May 12-13. The 360 sprint car invitational will award a grand total of $10,000; $4,000 to the winner on Tuesday and $6,000 to the winner on Wednesday. It will be Zearfoss’ first-ever visit to West Texas Raceway.

“Plans are kinda day-to-day at this point, but we’re excited to have the next week or so figured out. We’re ready to get back to work, especially since we are coming off of a win,” Zearfoss explained, driver of the Moose’s LZ Bar & Grill/Heavy Equipment, Loaders & Parts Inc./C&D Rigging Inc./BAPS Auto Paints & Supply/Meckley’s Limestone Products/Berkebile Oil Company/Klick Lewis Cars/J.P. Adamsky Trucking/No. 3Z sprint car. “I have a lot of people who make trips like this possible. My team and I are fortunate to have partners who want to race as bad as we do, so we’ll do our best to make these trips worth the miles and work toward another win. I’m excited to get going.”

No fans will be permitted to attend the events at Knoxville and West Texas Raceway, but broadcasts via DIRTVision and Speed Shift TV will be available, respectively.

Although Zearfoss’ schedule beyond the Iowa and Texas road trip remains uncertain, mostly due to COVID-19 restrictions, initial plans include returning to Iowa for another attempt at Knoxville Raceway, followed by All Star Circuit of Champions action in the state of Indiana. All plans remain tentative until made official.
