Zearfoss Earns First Ever 410 Win at Williams Grove Speedway,
Selinsgrove Visit On Deck

JONESTOWN, Pa. (June 6, 2016) – For the first time in his 410 sprint car career, the “Jonestown Jet” Brock Zearfoss earned his place in Williams Grove Speedway victory lane. In fact, the victory was his first ever behind the wheel of a 410 sprint car, a feat in the making since transitioning into 410 sprint car racing full-time in 2014. Zearfoss now has a total of three victories at the world famous facility during his young career, earning a pair of 358 sprint car wins in 2013.
The Jonestown, Pennsylvania, native started third on the feature grid at “The Grove” on Friday night, June 3, and took command by the exit of turn two. Zearfoss led every lap of the 25-lap main event, crossing under the final checkers nearly five seconds ahead of fellow podium finishers Doug Esh and Austin Hogue.
“Wow, I’m not even sure what to say,” explained Zearfoss regarding his first ever win. “All I can say is this has been a long time coming. We were strong all night on Friday. I got to the front pretty early and kept a strong pace. The lapped cars were a little tricky at times, but we were strong enough to work around them and keep our rhythm. When I saw the checkers, I don’t know if I was more relieved or excited. This team has been through a lot the last few years. We all deserved this one. It feels amazing, absolutely amazing.”
Brock Zearfoss will participate in a light agenda during the upcoming weekend, scheduled to visit Selinsgrove Speedway in Selinsgrove, Pennsylvania, on Friday night, June 10. The half-mile dirt oval will host the 410 sprinters for their own version of “Friday Night Lights,” a destination change for Zearfoss while Williams Grove Speedway hosts the USAC Champ Cars.
“We had some things planned for the upcoming weekend, so we’ll only race on Friday,” said Zearfoss. “We’re excited about the upcoming trip to Selinsgrove. We don’t have a lot of opportunities to race there, so it’s nice to have a chance to go back. Our team has a whole new level of confidence and momentum right now. We’ll try to work that to our advantage this weekend and get another win.”
