Will Enjoy Weekend Off Before Returning to Action on June 5th/6th

Jonestown, PA (May 28th, 2015) – ‘The Jonestown Jet’ Brock Zearfoss earned his first top-five finish of the 2015 season on Saturday evening, May 23rd at the Port Royal Speedway in Port Royal, Pennsylvania. Zearfoss finished 4th at the ‘Speed Palace’ during the ‘Fallen Heroes Championship’ Memorial Day weekend special. The pilot of the Brock Zearfoss Racing,  Moose’s LZ Bar and Grill, Central Builders Supply, Leach’s Automotive Service, Meckley’s Limestone, no. 3Z ‘410’ sprint car held on for the top-five finish after starting on the pole; bettering most of the 28 cars entered for competition. Zearfoss earned his way into the $5,000-to-win program with a heat race victory.

“We were due for that” said Brock Zearfoss, “Our season has been a roller coaster so far…we’re fast but we can’t seem to shake the bad luck…finishing inside the top-five gives all of us a nice little boost of confidence…can’t thank everyone enough for their hard work…it’s easy to get discouraged sometimes but earning solid finishes makes up for that…we’ll keep working as hard as we can.”

Brock Zearfoss made three starts during the recent Memorial Day weekend. The ‘3Z’ team made an appearance at the Williams Grove Speedway in Mechanicsburg, Pennsylvania on Friday night, May 22nd resulting in a 14th place finish during main event action. Zearfoss ended his weekend at the Selinsgrove Speedway near Selinsgrove, Pennsylvania on Sunday, May 24th during the ‘Ray Tilley Classic.’ Bad luck would return at Selinsgrove with rear axle issues while running in the fourth position; Zearfoss would be scored 16th.

“The rest of the weekend didn’t go quite as well as Port Royal” said Zearfoss, “We started near the back at Williams Grove and just couldn’t get going…on Sunday at Selinsgrove, things were going great until we broke an axle…regardless, it was a good weekend for the team…we know our potential so we’ll keep moving forward and work towards our first win.”

Brock Zearfoss Racing will rest during the upcoming weekend as they wait for a new car to arrive.

“We will take this weekend off” said Zearfoss, “We have a new car on the way and it won’t arrive in time for us to be ready for the weekend…we’ll wait on it and get it ready for the following weekend.”
