JONESTOWN, Pa. (April 10, 2023) – For the first time in 2023, the “Jonestown Jet” Brock Zearfoss notched a mark in his World of Outlaws top-five column, doing so in a Friday night visit to US 36 Raceway in Osborn, Missouri. Zearfoss, a recent winner with the Greatest Show On Dirt at Cedar Lake Speedway in New Richmond, Wisconsin, finished fifth in his top-five pursuit, actually fading as far back as seventh before rallying for a top five; he started third on the evening grid.
In all, a great evening is Missouri for the Jonestown, Pennsylvania, native, kicking things off with the sixth-fastest time during qualifying time trials followed by a runner-up finish during his respective heat race. Zearfoss would go on to finish third in the evening’s dash.
Although missing the the top-ten the following night in 81 Speedway’s $20,000-to-win Jason Johnson Classic, Zearfoss was close, capping the evening 12th in the running order after starting eighth in the lineup.
“It’s easy to get down on yourself out here on the road, but great results like our night at US 36 make it all the better. It’s a momentum kick that we hope to use to our advantage,” Zearfoss, driver of the Moose’s LZ Bar & Grill, Heavy Equipment, Loaders & Parts Inc., C&D Rigging Inc., Klick Lewis Cars, J.P. Adamsky Trucking, Milton Hershey School, A. Lane Living, No. 3Z sprint car, explained. “Hats off to this team and all of our supporters back home. Sometimes I have to pinch myself to make sure I’m not dreaming. Racing with the World of Outlaws has always been the goal, and here we are still out here doing it.”
