JONESTOWN, Pa. (October 14, 2019) – Earning a top-five finish is challenging, especially in Central Pennsylvania, but to attain a top-five finish during action in two divisions at the same facility, that requires an entirely different level of focus and determination. Suffice it to say, Jonestown, Pennsylvania’s Brock Zearfoss reached that level, eventually capping his evening at BAPS Motor Speedway on Saturday, October 12, with a pair of fourth place outcomes.
Zearfoss, who drove Ryan Linder’s X-1 Race Cars No. 9 during 410 competition at BAPS Motor Speedway on Saturday, as well as his own No. 3Z during 358/360 URC Challenge competition on the same night, acquired his pair of fourth place outcomes from rows three and four, respectively, highlighting each of his starts with a jump from seventh to fourth during URC action. In fact, Zearfoss was as high as third in the running order before settling for just one spot off the podium.
Brock Zearfoss and Ryan Linder’s potential was much greater than their final finish during 410 action on Saturday, but throttle return issues hindered their campaign and limited their progress from sixth on the grid.
“It was a fun weekend. I can’t thank Ryan Linder enough for the opportunity. The speed was definitely there, we just ran into some dumb mechanical luck. I also want to thank Metz-Wolfgang Auto Sports for allowing us to use their 360. It fit our program perfectly,” Brock Zearfoss said, who will drive for Ryan Linder during Open Wheel Madness at Port Royal Speedway on October 19. “Hopefully we can improve a few spots next weekend.”
Continuing his recent double-duty trend, Brock Zearfoss will continue his 2019 campaign with another doubleheader program in the Keystone State, this time entering 410 and 360 sprint car competition during Open Wheel Madness at Port Royal Speedway on Saturday, October 19.
