JONESTOWN, Pa. (July 5, 2021) – Officially propelling his World of Outlaws top-ten total to the double-digit mark, the “Jonestown Jet” Brock Zearfoss put on an impressive display during the holiday weekend, ultimately turning a two-day visit to Cedar Lake Speedway in New Richmond, Wisconsin, into a top-ten result, opening the weekend with a rally from 19th to finish tenth on Friday, July 2. For Zearfoss, the charge to tenth not only padded the stat sheet, now with ten top-ten appearances in 2021, but it also earned the Jonestown, Pennsylvania-native the evening’s Hard Charger Award, a contingency for advancing the most feature positions.
Impressive enough, technically, Zearfoss’ hard charge commenced from the Last Chance Showdown, winning the consolation event from third before performing his feature rally.
Although unable to match his Friday night successes, Zearfoss capped Cedar Lake’s Independence Day Spectacular with a 16th-place finish after starting in the exact same position.
“It feels good to put a great night like that together. It didn’t start out how we wanted, but we were able to recover and that’s the most important part,” Zearfoss said, a former WoO winner in Pennsylvania and driver of the Brock Zearfoss Racing, Moose’s LZ Bar & Grill, Heavy Equipment, Loaders & Parts Inc., C&D Rigging Inc., Meckley’s Limestone Products, Berkebile Oil Company, Klick Lewis Cars, J.P. Adamsky Trucking, X-1 Race Cars, Simpson Racing Products, KX3 Racewear, BK Titanium, Blud Lubricants, AL Driveline, Bruce’s Speed Shop, No. 3Z sprint car. “We have a lot of racing ahead…a lot of big money racing ahead. I’m ready to throw our hat in the ring and contest for some high dollar victories.”
Brock Zearfoss and Brock Zearfoss Racing will continue their 2021 World of Outlaws Rookie of the Year campaign with a trip to Wilmot Raceway in Wilmot, Wisconsin, on Saturday, July 10, all before turning their attention back to the Buckeye State the following week. The Greatest Show On Dirt will invade Attica Raceway Park for the annual Brad Doty Classic on Tuesday, July 13, next setting aim on four straight nights at Eldora Speedway featuring a pair of $175,000-to-win Kings Royals.
